Why I Love... Bikini Kill illustration by Matt Taylor

Finally, after many late nights, writer's block anger and more than a few stresses and obstacles thrown in our way, we're pleased to announce that Issue #2 of Shebang is now on it's merry way! We're sending it to print on Monday (2nd Feb), and are hoping to get it back in time to sell at the Brighton Zine Fest on Sunday 22nd February. But for those of you who aren't Brighton-based, you can preorder your copy now from our Online Shop.

Copies will be sent out on the 23rd Feb, first class, and are at a special pre-order price of £3.50 (international postage costs also reduced).

ISSUE #2 includes interviews with The Cribs, Tegan & Sara, Dan Le Sac & Scroobius Pip, Vivian Girls, Wild Beasts, Pens, Swallows & our crafty fave Bonbi Forest; a travel guide to Portland; Kate Morris artist profile; Mixtape recommendations from Jeffrey Lewis, Los Campesinos!, Girls, Camera Obscura, Emmy The Great & more; features on Cafe Hero and We Heart Arts; live reviews of Das Wanderlust, Jeffrey Lewis & The Wave Pictures, Twee As Fuck & the Shred Yr Face tour; record reviews and lots more! We'll put up the whole content list on our website soon.

Event: Ladyfest Goldsmiths 2009

An all-dayer set up to celebrate the creativity of womenkind, Ladyfest Goldsmiths takes place on Thursday 5th Feb, and looks set to be an interesting and fun-filled day of music, performances, comedy, art and talks from inspirational women (including Frances Morgan from Plan B mag discussing Women in Music Journalism - one not to be missed, fellow writers!)

We're especially excited about seeing Das Wanderlust again (reviewed in Shebang's second issue - out on the 23rd Feb) and checking out the cake sales, face painting, zine fayre, clothes swap and bring and buy.

Most of the info is beautifully presented on this fab poster:
